Experience the Kokoda Trail like never before. Walking the track is an experience you will never forget, the beauty of PNG and the history of the WW2 campaign, experiencing the terrain the ANZAC’s endured for 5 years first hand, then passing through the arches at Owers Corner is an amazingly humbling experience.
Walking the famous Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea involves 50 hours of hiking over 96km of sharp, timbered ridges, steep-sided valleys and fast flowing rivers, following the trails our diggers fought so bravely on over 70 years ago.
Vantage points along the Track reveal magnificent mountain landscapes, the tranquil rainforest jungle is abundant with many different species of plants, it sometimes feels as if you are the only one there, as not a sound can be heard nor a soul to be seen, it is a extremely grounding and peaceful feeling.
Passing through local villages, the descendents of the wartime “fuzzy wuzzy angels” and the ever inquisitive children all welcome you, sometimes with fresh fruit or a snack ‘for a few Kena’ and always huge smiles, they continue to live simple traditional lifestyles while providing a warm welcome to passing trekkers.
Walking the track is an experience you will never forget, the beauty of PNG and the history of the WW2 campaign, experiencing the terrain the ANZAC’s endured for 5 years first hand, then passing through the arches at Owers Corner is an amazingly humbling experience.
We welcome you to join us on this exclusive package and share the magic of walking the infamous Kokoda Track in beautiful PNG.
